Came across these pictures this evening while I was working on a photo project. I do not think any of you have had the chance to see them. We took them in our fall trip in 2007. The first one, I have converted into Black and White ~ the second one was not worth converting since I took it at 67.8 mph out the side window as I was passing a truck.

Is that really the Montana ranch?
That is the ranch, a few miles north of Montana.
A lot of western movies are filmed in Canada, this is the story of me driving out of my way a good number of miles to find the "Hat Creek Ranch", the more I drove the more the little lady questioned the wisdom. I finally found this little ranch, to me it looks like the Hat Creek Ranch. It sat in a bowl, you can see the upper pasture where they drove the horses to in Return to LD. After surviving some glares and frowns from the little lady, I turned around and headed back to the main highway. At the intersection of the main highway, was this huge sign as pictured and a cheap looking summer dude ranch. Don't know why we did not see the sign when we made the corner the first time. The reason the picture of the sign is blurry. After driving 5o miles out of our way to find the Hat Creek Ranch, it was at about that time I had pushed the limits of patience, the little lady reached over with her foot from the passenger side and hit the gas pedal while I was snapping the picture.
