Day +19 To "M" Day

With nineteen days remaining until the commencement of Memorial Day weekend, the HITW is looking pretty good in regards to drying up. Only visible sign of winter is John's Glacier is still intact, although loosing ground fast with the Global Warming Trend that we have experienced. Messican Lane is still packed in ice / snow from winter plowing but should be gone within the next couple of days. All of the drain system, except for about six inches of water in the catch basin and creeks are now dry.

Completed the roofing job on the "Duck House" with the exception of installing the skylight. Just need to lay the glass and "nailer down". With the past two days, I have got a nice sunburn, seems strange working in the HITW the first of May in a T-Shirt. Thought for awhile I was getting heat stroke, had a real severe headache. Finally it got so bad this evening I went to the emergency room to get it checked out. I just have to remember not to scratch my head when I have the nail gun in my hand.

Looks like Mt. Redoubt could be leading up to something, she is putting out a big plume and the seismic activity has increased. Hope it does not scare away the King Salmon into Anchor River.

Twas the night before hangovers

And all through the pit

As Pooba, he was atop his own throne

What's his latest gimmick

The Charmin had blessed us

The whole derned crowd

Nieghbors dialed up 911

We were getting a bit loud

The clans were assembled

Wolf, Bear, Buff and Moose

And my Gawd, the dawgs

Who the hell turned em all loose.

Trailers were circled

As wagons in days gone past

It rained the first two days

And the skies are still overcast

.....

John in the cook tent

Taylor in her char

The fire is blazing

Look Out! The blue tarp is on fare!

Heidi pourin out coffee

Eric sluggin his beer

Stan dishin out one liners

And Arnie-the fear.

.....

Our relation is coming

For to join the Hole in the Wall fun

Blue Duck may be with em!

Everyone git yer gun!

Blue Peep got to Shana

She singed her bird digit

Sure mustiv smarted

It's still makin me fidget

Taylor is wound up

She jist won't quit her talkin

That's Ok, in the next few weeks

She'd prove to be walkin

.....

The clan girls were here

secluded up on Estrogen Rise

Linked only by zip line

and soaked from the gray skies.

The kids all found safe harbor

And shelter in the Grand Ol Eagle's nest

Everyone was workin

Engineering was put to the test

Eric, his wit

Bill slapped a dandy ninety

And the gazebo still won't fit.

The gravel was great

Keeps us outta the mud

Cept the kidlets

Who are covered in crud

They're baking odd objects

Too much for John and I

We pull another swig
