I found this cabin by accident while searching for something different on the Internet. This is the design of cabin that I have had in mind for the HITW. I found this while searching homedepot.com for some other building material. This is a pre-fabricated cabin that is in kit form, everything is included and all the lumber is pre-cut. This particular model is a 12' x 20'. They also make the same cabin style in smaller sizes down to 12'x12'. I would personally prefer a model with a half loft for children sleeping area, but this model may work. Since it is a kit, everything is included except the flooring, including all the nails, hardware, etc. The exterior is knotty red pine and the front roof has a four foot overhang and deck. According to the web site, the price includes freight delivered to the site. Set on a two foot high sonar tube foundation, it has potential to be a very nice cabin. The cost for the 12'x20" cabin is $6,604 and the 12'x16' cabin is $5,730. If all are in agreement, perhaps someone could contact our in house building specialist to price something like this out if we were to build it from scratch. A good floor plan would also be helpful to see if we can get the required number of beds, storage, small kitchen and sitting area into this size space. Personally, I do not think we want to go any smaller. Give me your input and ideas and we can take it from there. It is unfinished inside. It is an interesting concept to discuss.
As a side note, the new fishing regulations are now out. King Salmon season will be open on the Anchor River on May 17 - 19 and May 21st. 2nd opening is May 24 - 26 and May 28th. 3rd opening is May 28 - May 31 and June 2nd and June 4th. 4th opening is June 7 - 9 and June 11th. 5th and final opening will be June 14- 16th and June 18th. Memorial Day weekend could be expanded easily by taking advantage of the Wednesday openings, 5/21 ~ 5/24 through 5/26 and on 5/28th. These dates are on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday each week for five weeks.
Just thoughts to ponder.

...and pondering...Wednesdays, also?
Nice cabin. Looks easy to duplicate the idea. We just need to save up the "dimensional" lumber this year. We could pick from the "other" piles around the sawmill - I've seen some good lumber going to waste on racks...
cute...could easily be expanded up to include a loft for the kids...have no idea of how big 12x20 is but if it is as big as my bed room I could make it work...always wanted my own doll house...remember the one the little girl had on Whidbey Island...it was a little girls dream come true..
I SOOOOO remember that play house, I think she had running water and electric lights! and do I remember a stove?
Anyway, a 12x20 cabin, seems like a nice small size, PERFECT!
