First Guests 2007 Season

The first Summer guests have conquered the access into the Hole In The Wall Recreation Area on March 24, 2007. "Fred" was on hand to greet them at their arrival at the "Duck House".

It does not appear that access is going to be gained into their "Summer Home", the Moose Wallow is snowed in. How about the Bear Den?

No, the "Bear Den" is to short and they cannot find the door! The "Wolf Den" should be just right!

Well, we got down into the basement of the "Wolf Den" but the snow is blocking the access door, along with a big board -

Wanted to visit the "KROC", but he is still in hibernation, found a sign of his home, but could not find any sign of habitation.
If I ring the "dinner bell", maybe Grandma will bring me some "Warm Hot Coco"

The First "HITW Winter Olympic Games" were held at the Hole In The Wall with Heather winning the Gold Medal in the Broad Butt Short Slope with Dutch taking the Silver Medal. Hunter took the "Gold Medal" on the Giant Obstacle using the welcome sign as the finish line.

All I want to do is have someone throw me the "dummy" so I can retrieve. But, hurry, my butt is getting cold sitting around!

That big old sand hill sure looks fun.

The pictures draw jealousy from the cousins here. Would love to go sled the "bowl".

I is ideal, "virgin" snow with just a touch of soft snow on top to add speed. Almost made me want to sled it. Heather also conqured the "Eagle Nest Trail Hill" as well on her way down from the nest. That was a great run, by asccident but she enjoyed it! No sign of the fire fit, but when you consider the bottom of th "Kroc" sign is feet off the ground - ity will be a time before we can have a fire in the pit - although the wood file is accessible as well as all the dunnage so when we are ready - the wood is there.

But will it melt by May

It might be less dusty/muddy if is does not melt.

We could build a dome with Switzerland's "glacial wrap" and keep the entire bowl a walk-in glacier viewing area. The beer would be cold, no? We could always step out to get a tan.

dust? on memorial day...na I think it was mud...quick sand as I recall...but the mud wrestling tournament drew plenty of male spectators. Looks like a fun place to go winter camping...
